Purpose of our Site

It was back in the 1880s that a newsman was first quoted that the paper's mission was to :
"Comfort the afflicted, and afflict the comforted."

Put quite simply, the purpose of this site is: Don't let the bastards get their head above water.

"Almost Treasonous"

I borrow those words of course from Rick Perry when he referred to Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke.

But here those words "almost treasonous" ring true. I'll begin with names, Mitch McConnell, John Boehner, Jim DeMint, most of Republican Congressmen, some Republican presidential candidates.

There are levels of treason. One is 'high treason", consorting with a known, declared enemy.

But the enemy these Republicans have is truth.
The enemy these Republicans have is honesty.
The enemy these Republicans have is decency.
The enemy these Republicans have is responsibility.

There is not 8.6% unemployment in this country but probably 18% with part timers looking desperately for full time, souls that have been taken off the rolls, souls that have given up.

And there stands our infrastructure, crumbling or antiquated.

The President of The United States has made one proposal after another for jobs, only to be met with thugs of Republican "No."

Oh, these Repulsivecans truly pay "lip service" to jobs. But I am sure that if you would look up the definition of "lip service" in Webster's next dictionary, you would find these Republican names listed.

It is surely the American people they betray. And as I damn these jackwagons, I also want to commend the two Republican Senators from Maine. Ladies, thank you for your courage in bucking the "almost treasonous," those whose one goal is not jobs, but to destroy a President.

I promise the rest of you, that the closer we draw to the election, the more the American people will wise up to your "almost treason."
